Beat the mental drawbacks during the lockdown

The year 2020 has been a very unpredictable and tough year for everyone around the world. People all around the world faced various difficult challenges, both physical and psychological, which restricted them from doing anything freely. The outbreak of the pandemic has locked everyone up at home. Educational hubs and corporations were being closed to avoid the spread of the disease. But this sudden shutdown of every outdoor activity has made everyone’s life much more boring and exhausting. To counter the effects of lockdown, one should find ways to enjoy at home. There are couple of things like playing games with your siblings, watching best Bollywood movies 2020 to doing some physical exercises at home.

Every educational hub started taking classes in the online mode, at first this made students very excited as a new mode of education was being introduced but gradually this even became exhausting and students stopped paying full attention to the classes. Psychologically it is natural that students will prefer offline modes of education more than the online mode, because one will get the chance to go to the school or college, will get to meet the classmates, studies will be more interactive, campus activities will always give a new charm to studies. Due to lockdown all these things have been stopped, but the study pressure is there. This is the reason students including teenagers, young adults and adults are feeling depressed, isolated or exhausted most of the time

Schools and colleges can also do some fun through online mode other than giving assignments, which can reduce the mental burden from the students mind. Schools and the other educational hubs are the only place where students feel good, as other than gaining knowledge, students also gain new and fun experiences here, they meet their peer groups here and always get involved in various educational activities which always keeps them happy. But students can also experience the same educational fun through online mode, if the educational hub authorities plan and implement them, then these mental issues of students will also get solved.

There are some ideas which can help the schools and colleges to deal with the mental issues of students:

  • Students below class 9 should be given knowledge about the pandemic Covid 19. The more the students will learn about the causes of the disease and precautions to defeat it, the more they will stay mentally strong and will have positive hopes.
  • Workloads can be reduced by dividing the work by giving group activities or group discussed assignments. This will reduce the work pressure entirely on one student and will strengthen their communication again.
  • The educational hubs can involve them into small internships, through which they will stay engaged in some works, which will not give them spare time to feel lonely or bored and through which they can earn small stipends. These small works will build their psychological thoughts and ideas.
  • Schools and colleges should hold various online competitions and online feasts. This won’t make the students feel completely like the offline celebrations, but this will keep them enthusiastic and make them involved in a social ground.
  • Students who stay near can be said to form groups and have a survey of the locality to complete an assignment. This will make them meet their classmates and feel better.
  • Online seminars, debates, meetings and MUN can be held to bring up different ideas of students and understand their thoughts and opinion about the present situation of the world. The more students will speak up, the more they will feel better.
  • The authorities of the educational hubs should appoint a psychiatrist, to know about the mental issues the students are dealing with. When the students will open up they will get suggestions to overcome them and speaking about their feelings will make them feel better.

 

                  Even the boring part of life can turn into something fun and exciting if we all stay together and try a little. We all know, about the tough situation and the precautions we should take to be physically safe, but we should also be safe and healthy mentally, because any tough situation or disease can be solved if we stay strong from our mind. So, it’s time to make the virtual world of knowledge and work a bit more exciting and lively, so that we all can beat the mental issues too.
